Question about the 9:30 Club in Washington DC?

My friend and I want to go to an all ages nightclub in DC, and one of the ones we're looking at is the 9:30 club. But we don't want to go to any concert in particular so we're wondering if on the nights that don't have a concert listed(on their website) if there is a DJ and dancing?
