If Washington, DC was nuked, which surrounding areas would be affected?

I hope that by asking this question I don't come off as crazy, but as I've lived most of my life in a suburb of DC, I was wondering if anyone knew which towns/cities in the DC area (as in MD/DC/VA) would be affected if DC was nuked?
